PEARL - Filter

Variety: Heirloom Cultivars
Process: Washed

Pearl is for the mornings you want to slow down for. The kind where you actually notice what's in your cup. A bright lift of blackcurrant, a twist of lemon, something soft and sweet underneath like muscovado sugar.

It comes from the volcanic slopes around Kilimanjaro and Mbeya, where Tanzanian farmers hand-pick each cherry at peak ripeness. What makes Pearl rare is the bean itself: a peaberry, a small natural treasure that only shows up now and then in the harvest.

Brew it with intention, and it gives you everything back.

Origin

From the volcanic highlands around Kilimanjaro and Mbeya, Tanzania, where rich soils, high elevations and generations of farming expertise come together to produce coffees known for clarity, sweetness and balance. Each cherry is hand-picked at peak ripeness, a slow, careful process that lets the natural character of the bean fully come through.

Engagement

Pearl is a peaberry lot, and it gets its name from the German word "Perlbohne". Peaberries are a natural mutation where only one round bean forms inside the cherry instead of the usual two. The shape lets heat move more evenly during roasting, which brings out the coffee's natural precision: cleaner sweetness, polished acidity, flavors that are easier to notice. It's called Pearl because it's a rare natural treasure. We recommend you take the time to brew it with intention and enjoy its richness.
