What's the difference between filter and espresso beans?
Filter coffee roasts are typically lighter to highlight fruity and complex flavors. They’re ideal for brewing methods like pour-over or French press.
Espresso roasts are darker, resulting in a bolder, more caramelized flavor with less acidity. These roasts are specially developed for use with espresso machines or portafilters.
In general, the key difference between filter and espresso lies in preparation and extraction. Filter coffee is brewed over a longer period with lower pressure, creating a lighter cup with more nuanced aromas.
Espresso, on the other hand, is extracted quickly under high pressure, resulting in a concentrated, intense shot with a rich crema.

My coffee tastes too bitter or too sour, what's wrong?
Bitter coffee often results from water that's too hot, an overly long extraction time, or coffee that's ground too finely.
Sour coffee can be caused by under-extraction, a grind that's too coarse, or a low brewing temperature.
With just a few tweaks – adjusting the grind size, water temperature, or brew time – you can quickly improve the flavor.

Can you grind our coffee for me?
Yes, absolutely! When you make a purchase, you can select your preferred grind size to match your coffee machine or brewing method.

How should I store my coffee properly?
It's best to store your coffee in an airtight, opaque container in a cool, dry place. Avoid the fridge or freezer, as moisture can affect the flavor.
For maximum freshness, grind your beans just before brewing. ☕️

Can I change or cancel my order?
Get in touch with us as soon as possible and include your order number. As long as your order hasn’t been shipped yet, we can make changes or cancel it for you.
I haven't received my order, what can I do?
We’re sorry - that shouldn’t have happened. Please check your spam folder first.
If the order confirmation isn’t there, reach out to us with your name and the date you placed the order. We’re happy to help!
I received the wrong items in my order, what should I do now?
We’re sorry – that shouldn’t have happened. Please get in touch with us and send your order number along with a photo of the item you received. We’ll sort it out as quickly as possible and make sure you get the right coffee.
Delivery
How much is the shipping cost?
Within Germany, we charge a flat shipping rate of €4.90.
Shipping is free for orders over €45. 🛒
How long does it take to receive my coffee?
Your coffee usually arrives within 3 days after shipping. As soon as your order is on its way, you'll receive a shipping confirmation via email. It includes a tracking link so you can check the delivery status anytime. 😊☕
Do you also ship internationally?
We also ship within the Schengen Area. Shipping costs for smaller orders vary depending on the destination country and postal code.
For orders over €80, shipping is free.
We currently deliver to the following countries:
Belgium, Bulgaria, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Iceland, Italy, Croatia, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Austria, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Sweden, Switzerland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Czech Republic, and Hungary.

How can I track my order?
As soon as your order has been shipped, you'll receive a shipping confirmation via email. It includes a tracking link so you can follow your delivery in real time. So you always know exactly where your coffee is! ☕🚚
Returns
Can I return something? What's your returns policy?
You can return items within 30 days if they are unopened and unused. Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on coffee or gift cards. Just send us a message at info@codos.coffee beforehand so we can sort everything out.
How can I start a return?
Send us an email at info@codos.coffee with your order number and the reason for your return. We'll get back to you quickly with the next steps!
My coffee arrived damaged, what should I do?
Oh no, we're really sorry about that! Please email us at info@codos.coffee with a photo of the damaged product and your order number. We'll take care of a replacement or a solution right away. 😊
