Origin

The land of a thousand hills Rwanda.
Thanks to its climate, altitude, fertile soils, and steady temperatures, Rwandan coffee beans are rich in nutrients and known for their smooth, sweet-fruity flavour.

The country is shaped by mountainous terrain and nitrogen-rich volcanic soil. But the weather can be unpredictable - with heavy rains in some regions and periods of drought in others.

Engagement

In Rwanda, most farms are run by women. During the civil war, many men and farmers were either imprisoned or lost their lives, leaving women to carry the legacy of coffee cultivation.

Another defining tradition: the coffee cherries are picked entirely by hand.
